DALLAS – Two Conference USA individual runners qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, announced Saturday. CUSA will be represented by athletes from Middle Tennessee and Liberty.
The Middle Tennessee men earned tenth place at the NCAA South Regional Championship on Saturday, hosted by Florida State.
Allan Kiplagat finished the men’s 10K, clocking a time of 29:47.6. Kiplagat landed in fifth place, automatically qualifying for NCAAs.
The Liberty women placed fifth at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday, hosted by Winthrop. The Lady Flames were led by senior
Adelyn Fairley, who completed the women’s 6K with a time of 20:40.3. Fairley’s performance landed earned her eighth place, punching her ticket to NCAAs.
The 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships are set to take place on Nov. 23 in Madison, Wisconsin, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The women’s race will be at 9:20 a.m. CT, and the men’s race will be at 10:10 a.m. CT. Fans can tune in on ESPNU and ESPN+ beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT.
