How does doing a college sport shape who you are today?
Being a college athlete has shaped who I am by teaching me hard work, resilience and discipline. It has taught me to have a strong work ethic and has helped me be on a schedule and to have great time management skills. It has taught me to stay consistent and to give 100% in all things that I pursue throughout my life and athletic career. It has also taught me to always keep my faith in the lord and to trust his timing, which has really helped me in my athletic career

What career path are you pursuing after college?
Becoming a school counselor and cross country/track and field coach.

Which class has been your favorite and why?
Sports psychology was my favorite class because it was very interesting to learn about, and it taught me how the mind influences performance.

What’s the best advice you ever got from a coach or teammate?
To always trust your training and have confidence in yourself, your coach, and your teammates.

What advice would you share with upcoming student-athletes?
To always stay consistent and get into a good routine that works for you. Time management is important and balancing school and sports at the collegiate level isn't easy but being a collegiate athlete is one of the greatest gifts and don’t ever take it for granted. Always trust God’s plan and trust God’s timing.

What’s your best tip for balancing athletics and academics?
My best advice is to get into a good healthy routine and daily schedule; it will help you to stay organized and have good time management.

As a nominee for the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team, what inspires you to be a leader in your community?
What has inspired me to be a leader in my community is the people I do it for. Being able to wake up every day and serve a greater purpose than myself is something that has always inspired me. My teammates, coaches and family have all made a huge difference in my life. Striving to be better for them and all the people who support me in the community is what keeps me inspired every day and encourages me to be a leader in the community.
