WBB: December 1 Players of the Week

DALLAS – UTEP’s Ivane Tensaie and Delaware’s Trinity Vance earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Ivane Tensaie, UTEP – Gr. – G – Roseville, Minn.
Tensaie powered UTEP to a 2-0 week, including a road win at Kansas City to move the Miners to 1-0 on the road and 6-0 overall. The graduate guard averaged 22.5 points per game for the week while shooting an elite 65% from three-point range. She opened the week with 19 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting in the win at Kansas City, then delivered a season-high 26 points on 8-of-12 from three in the victory over Denver. The Roseville, Minn., native’s eight made threes set a UTEP single-game record, surpassing her own previous mark of seven.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Trinity Vance, Delaware – G – Waterloo, S.C.
Vance averaged 18.5 points per game while shooting 56% from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Fightin' Blue Hens. For the week, the Waterloo, S.C., native totaled 37 points in 46 minutes of action off the bench. UD topped former conference rival Towson, 91-80, with the most points scored under fourth-year head coach Sarah Jenkins. Vance put up her first-career 20+ point outing, finishing with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting. In the Hens 67-55 win over Loyola (Md.), the freshman guard scored 14 points with two steals.
