DALLAS – Conference USA has announced its postseason Women’s Basketball All-Conference, All-Freshman, All-Defensive Teams along with the Superlative Awards (Newcomer, Sixth Player, Defensive, Freshman, Player and Coach). The CUSA awards are voted on by the league’s coaches, sports information directors and a media representative from each school.

NM State’s Molly Kaiser became the first Aggie to be named CUSA Player of the Year. LA Tech’s Paris Bradley, who won eight Freshman of the Week awards this season, is the league’s Freshman of the Year. MTSU’s Rick Insell claims his second Coach of the Year honors.

Kaiser led the league in scoring (21.6) and 30-point performances with four during league action. The fifth-year guard also ranked fifth in minutes played (35.9) and seventh in field goal percentage (46.5). She scored in double-figures in all but three games all year. Bradley is tabbed as the league’s Freshman of the Year after earning eight weekly honors in her rookie campaign. The Carrollton, Texas, native ranks fifth among all CUSA players this year in scoring while leading all freshmen with 14.5 points per game.
