DALLAS – New Mexico State’s Angela Garvin and Liberty’s Ike Joy earned the sixth Conference USA golf weekly honors for the spring portion of the 2024-25 campaign.
 
CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Angela Garvin, NMSU – Gr. – Feeding Hills, Mass.
Garvin tied for sixth at the Riverbend Intercollegiate, leading the Aggies to a third-place finish behind Houston and Abilene Christian. Garvin’s finish is the second-best of her Aggie career. She shot a 2-over par 218 (68-76-74). Her 68 in the first round on Monday marked her lowest round of the season and her first round in the 60s since 2023. 
 
CUSA Men’s Golfer of the Week – Ike Joy, Liberty – R-Jr. – Denver, N.C
Joy paced the Flames at the Hayt, hosted by North Florida. The tournament featured 10 top-50 programs and three top-10 ranked teams. He tied for sixth place with a 4-under par 212 (72-69-71). The redshirt junior finished ahead of 18 players currently ranked in the top 150 national player rankings. Joy led the field in pars, posting a par on 43 of 54 holes. He posted a three-under par 69 during the second round, marking his fifth round in the 60s this season. Joy also ranked third in the field in par-3 scoring.
