How did playing college sports shape who you are today?
College sports have shaped me into the person I am today by teaching me to trust the gifts God has given me, to lead with confidence, respond effectively to adversity, and perform under pressure. Through the mental and physical challenges I endured as a college athlete I learned that even on my hardest days I could persevere and still be successful. Without these experiences, I would not be the strong woman I am today.
What career path are you pursuing after college?
Professional Softball/Business Owner: F9 Athletics (sports mindset coaching and softball training)
What’s the best advice you ever got from a coach or teammate?
It is about the PURSUIT of perfection knowing that you will never be perfect.
What advice would you share with today’s student-athletes?
The only person who is in the way of your goals is you.
How has being a student-athlete helped you succeed in the classroom?
The same discipline, work ethic, and commitment required to perform at a high level on the field directly translate to success in the classroom. Just as wins and accolades are earned through preparation and consistency, so are good grades.
What’s your best tip for balancing athletics and academics?
Schedule your weeks out on Sunday and get assignments done early.
