Eric Dibami earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Justyn Fernandez, Delaware – Sr. – G – Richmond, Va.
Fernandez wins his second Player of the Week honor after leading the Blue Hens (9-16, 5-9 CUSA) to a perfect week on the road with wins at FIU and Missouri State. The senior guard averaged 22.0 points, six rebounds and shot an incredible 55.4 percent from the field. In Delaware’s thrilling win in Miami, he scored 23 points on 9-16 shooting while grabbing a career-high nine rebounds. He then followed that with a team-high 21 points in a nine-point win at Missouri State. Fernandez has dropped 20 or more points in four straight contests.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Eric Dibami, FIU – Fr. – F – Yaounde, Cameroon
Dibami claims his second straight Freshman of the Week honor after averaging a double-double in the Panthers (12-13, 5-9 CUSA) 1-1 week. The freshman forward averaged 13.0 points and 10.5 boards while shooting 57.9 percent (11-19) from the floor. In a tight loss to Delaware, Dibami scored 15 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds, becoming the first Panther freshman since 2021 to record that many rebounds in a game. In Saturday’s win over LA Tech, he had 12 points and eight rebounds. 10 of his 21 rebounds on the week came on the offensive glass.
