DALLAS – Conference USA unveiled its preseason honors for the 2026 beach volleyball season, as voted on by the league’s nine head coaches. FIU’s Brianna Luoma was named the Preseason Player of the Year and headlined the conference’s 11 Preseason All-Conference honorees.
 
Luoma, a sophomore at FIU, earned 2025 CUSA Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Conference and All-Freshman honors after posting a 22-11 record last season. The Edgewater, Fla., native was paired with Katarina Drozd, who also landed a spot on the preseason team. The duo went 22-10 on courts 2,3 and 4 with wins over nine ranked opponents including No. 7 Cal, No. 9 LBSU and twice over Florida Atlantic.
 
Tulane had the most players selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team with three as Skylar Ensign, Katie Hansen and Molly Trodd were highlighted. Ensign earned First Team All-Conference last season, while Trodd claimed a spot on the Second Team All-Conference list.
 
Florida Atlantic and UAB had two selections a piece on the preseason team. The Sandy Owls are represented by Kendall Mignerey and Denisse Morgenstern, while UAB is highlighted by Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant. Mignerey finished the 2025 season fifth on the team with an 18-17 record, including a season-best 11-8 record on court three. Haas and Stant was a dynamic duo for the Blazers, finishing with a 26-7 record on court 1, which marked a single-season school record for most overall wins.
 
Rounding out the preseason team are Missouri State’s Ally Larkin and Tarleton State’s Allison Bryant. Larkin notched a 17-9 overall record during the Bears 2025 season, while Bryant went 10-10 on Court 1 for the Texans.  
 
The 2026 Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship is set to begin competition from Apr. 23-25 in Youngsville, La., hosted by CUSA and the city of Youngsville at the Youngsville Sports Complex (Sugar Beach). The event will feature all nine CUSA beach volleyball programs.
