2026 Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament Bracket (PDF)

INDIANAPOLIS – LA Tech gained an invitation to the 2026 Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament following its regular season campaign. The Lady Techsters are automatic qualifiers after winning the 2026 Conference USA regular season, going 17-1 in league play.

LA Tech was the CUSA Tournament runner-up after finishing the season with a 26-5 overall record. The Lady Techsters will take on third-seed Rice (28-5) on Thursday, March 19 at the Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston. Time is to be determined, and all games will be available on ESPN+.  

The WBIT is a 32-team postseason tournament from March 19 (first-round), March 22 (second-round) and March 26 (quarterfinals), with the highest-seeded teams hosting games at campus sites. The city of Wichita, Kansas, will host the semifinals and championship games for the first time, as four teams will advance to play at Charles Koch Arena. The semifinals are scheduled for Monday, March 30, with the WBIT concluding with the championship game Wednesday, April 1.
