WTEN: Liberty Set to Face Washington in 2026 NCAA Championship

DALLAS – Liberty will represent Conference USA at the 2026 NCAA Women’s Tennis Team Championships, the NCAA announced Monday.
 
The Lady Flames are headed just up the road to Charlottesville, Va., to face Washington (19-5) on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. ET. Liberty (16-9) clinched an automatic berth after claiming its first-ever CUSA championship. Head coach Dash Connell leads Liberty to a conference title and a NCAA Tournament appearance in just his second season at the helm.
 
The first and second rounds of the championship will be held May 1-3. The winner of each site will advance to super-regional competition on May 8 or 9. The super-regional winners will head to Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., where eight teams will compete for the national title on May 14-17.
