DALLAS - Three CUSA squads remain unbeaten as the 2026 season rolls into another week of non-conference action, with MTSU, WKU and Delaware yet to suffer a loss. All 10 teams are back in action this weekend as September play begins.
BLUE RAIDERS ROLLING EARLY
The Blue Raiders are off to a blazing start and the best start to a season in program history (4-0-2). Freshman Ania Denham has hit the ground running in her college career, notching three goals and an assist in her first six appearances. In Thursday’s come-from-behind win over Miami (OH), she played a season-high 79 minutes and scored the game-winning goal on a PK in the 85th minute. MTSU has five clean shits in six matches to begin the campaign. Ella Sellers and Demi Gronauer have been key in net for the Blue Raiders.
HILLTOPPERS KEEP CLIMBING
WKU is one of three CUSA squads that remains unbeaten through three weeks of non-conference action. The Hilltoppers 3-0-2 mark is the best start to a season since 2021. The stars showed out in their lone match on Thursday night. Georgia Liapis recorded her third assist of the season while April McDonald tallied her third goal in as many games in a 2-0 win over Union. Sophia Lezizidis collected her first goal of the season as a Hilltopper.
HENS HARD TO CRACK
The Blue Hens also remain unbeaten with a 2-0-3 overall record through three weeks of action. UD recoreded back-to-back shutouts in two scoreless draws last week against Towson and UMBC. It marks the first time this season Delaware has had back-to-back clean sheets. Sophomore goalkeeper Sophia Hall totaled six saves in 180 minutes and ranks second in CUSA with a .839 save percentage. Magge Groh continues to lead the league in goals (4) and points (9).
HOME SWEET HOME
The preseason favorites managed a 1-1-0 week, falling just short of ACC foe Pitt 1-0, but bouncing back to shutout Charlotte 2-0 on Sunday. The Lady Flames have earned a victory in their last eight home contests, including three from last year’s CUSA Championship run. Defender Lauren Littleton has played in every minute of the 2026 season so far. Dani Gubbels and Izzie Smuilk each netted first half goals to give Liberty the edge over Charlotte on Sunday.
DEFENSE LEADS THE CHARGE
Missouri State came away with a strong 1-0-1 week where they pitched back-to-back shutouts in a draw with SEMO and a 3-0 win over Central Arkansas. Defender Logan Morrow and keeper Kate Lewis each earned CUSA weekly honors for their outstanding performance on the defensive side of the ball. The Bears continue their rigorous non-conference slate with the next two matches at Iowa State and at (RV) Iowa this week.
