DePaul Golf Finishes 15th in Season Opening Meet

Michael McMahon finished tied for 19th overall and the Blue Demons were 15th as a team at the annual John Piper Intercollegiate which concluded on Tuesday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

McMahon improved in each of his three rounds, carding scores of 75 and 73 on Monday and a 72 today to finish the tournament with a four-over-par 220.

Michael Gammon, who shot a final round 73, and Nathan Ruth were DePaul?s next highest finishers tied for 70th overall at 236.

DePaul will return to action on September 27-28 when it hosts the John Dallio Invitational in West Chicago, Ill.
