Elise Ames is one of nine incoming freshmen to the Southern Miss volleyball team. Prior to coming to Southern Miss, Ames was a standout player at St. Joseph's Academy where she earned all-region honors. She helped her team win two Missouri Class 4 state championships.

Why did you choose Southern Miss? Because I wanted to come to the south for college and when I stepped on campus it felt right and I knew it would be a perfect fit for me. I love the close environment, the volleyball team, the coaches, and the family atmosphere.
