Southern Miss extended its home court win streak to 18-straight games following a 72-70 victory over Troy. Matt Bingaya scored a career-high 25 points for the Golden Eagles. Middle Tennessee sophomore Reggie Upshaw Jr. registered a double-double in the Blue Raiders win over Northern Arizona as part of the Emerald Coast Classic.
Four Charlotte players scored in double-figures as the 49ers fell just short to No. 17 Miami, 77-74, in the second meeting between the teams in three days. Charlotte hosted tonight's game, but Sunday's meeting was the title game of the Gildan Charleston Classic.

C-USA MEN'S BASKETBALL SHOOTING STARS
- Southern Miss extended its home court win streak to 18-straight games following a 72-70 victory over Southern Miss. Junior Norville Carey's (British V.I.) steal and dunk with 5.7 seconds left in the game capped off a nine-point second half comeback. Sophomore Matt Bingaya (Delaware, Ohio) scored a career-high 25 points for the Golden Eagles, while grabbing four rebounds and three assists. Senior G Chip Armelin (Sulphur, La.) added a season-high 15 points.
- Middle Tennessee remains unbeaten in the Emerald Coast Classic following a 65-53 win over Northern Arizona. With the victory, the Blue Raiders improve to 3-1 on the young season. Junior Perrin Buford (Decatur, Ala.) led the offensive attack with a career-high 16 points in 21 minutes. Sophomore Reggie Upshaw Jr. (Chattanooga, Tenn.) scored eight second-half points to reach double figures as he recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Seniors Marcus Tarrance (Memphis, Tenn.) and Jacquez Rozier (Waynesboro, Ga.) each tallied 10 points.
