IRVING, Texas - Eleven women's golf teams are set to tee off Monday at the 2017 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship at Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Florida. The three-day, 54-hole championship is April 17-19, with a practice round slated for Sunday, April 16. For the third-straight year, the teams will play 18 holes per day on the Bob Cupp-designed Old Orange, a par 72, 6,194-yard Verandah course.

With seeding based on the current GolfStat team rankings, No. 63 Old Dominion will look to avenge its second-place finish from a year ago as the top-seeded team. The Monarchs are led by junior Maggie Simmermacher who has earned the team's best finish in two of the five tournaments this season. Senior
Rachel Walker will look to improve from last year's impressive third-place tie that garnered a spot on the C-USA All-Tournament Team.
Competition opens Monday, April 17 at 8 a.m. ET with split tees. UAB and Florida Atlantic will begin play as a twosome from hole 10, while FIU, Middle Tennessee and UTEP will start at the first tee. Samantha Gotcher and sophomore
Hanley Long. Both student-athletes were also named to this year's InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team. Middle Tennessee will look to join South Florida as the only other team to win three-straight championships in league history.
North Texas, WKU and Marshall will also start things off from the back nine as seeds No. 7-9, with the first grouping hitting the links at 8:50 a.m. ET.

Kelly Erasmus has played in every tournament this year for the Golden Eagles and finished runner-up at the Golden Eagle Jam. She also has four top-10 finishes on the year, the second-best season stroke average in program history (74.56) and has carded the most birdies in a season by any Southern Miss golfer (79). UTSA earned a top-five team placement in three of the squad's 10 events this season, including winning the Texas State Invitational.
For every succeeding round, team scores will determine pairings. Live scoring of the 22nd annual C-USA Women's Golf Championship will be provided by Golfstat.
The winning team of the 2017 C-USA Women's Golf Championship earns the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Championship Regionals.
