DALLAS – Old Dominion LHP Blake Morgan continued to add to his postseason accolades, earning National College Baseball Writers Association Freshman All-America honors, the organization announced Monday.
 
The Freshman All-America team is voted upon by the membership of the NCBWA. The 2022 NCBWA National Freshman Player of the Year and National Freshman Pitcher of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, June 14.
 
Morgan, Conference USA’s Freshman of the Year, a First Team All-Conference selection by the league’s head coaches and a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America selection, finished the season 8-0 with a 1.69 ERA during his initial season in Norfolk. He struck out 66 batters compared to just eight walks across 69.1 innings of work for a Monarchs team that finished the campaign 41-17.
