DALLAS – Middle Tennessee Head Women’s Basketball Coach Rick Insell has been named ESPN.com’s Coach of the Week announced in the weekly college women’s basketball roundup on Monday.
 
In Insell’s 18^th season with the Lady Raiders, their 16-2 overall and 9-0 Conference USA record marks their best start during his tenure with the program. MTSU is coming off a 3-0 week defeating UAB, Charlotte and Louisiana Tech and is now ranked No. 23 in this week’s AP Poll for the first time since 2014.
 
Insell boasts a 421-148 (.740) record at MTSU landing him third among active Division I women’s basketball coaches between 20 and 10 years of experience.
 
The Lady Raiders currently own a 14-game winning streak, the fourth longest active streak in the nation and the sixth longest in C-USA history.
