WBB: Dec. 18 Players of the Week

DALLAS – New Mexico State’s Molly Kaiser and Liberty’s Asia Boone earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2023-24 Players of the Week are presented by Blenders Eyewear and are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Molly Kaiser, NM State – Sr. – G – Watauga, Texas
Kaiser put on a clinic as she earns her first CUSA Player of the Week award. The senior guard led the Aggies to a 2-0 week while beating Western New Mexico and Utah Valley by at least 30 points in both contests. She matched her season-high 22 points in the win over Western New Mexico on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor. Kaiser tacked on 11 more points in the 70-39 defeat of Utah Valley on Saturday, marking her eighth double-figure scoring game of the season.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Asia Boone, Liberty – Fr. – G – San Diego, Calif.
Boone takes Freshman of the Week honors for the third consecutive week after averaging 12.0 points with 5.0 rebounds and a 40.0 percent clip from deep. In Saturday’s contest against Richmond, the freshman guard hit all three of her 3-point attempts to match her career-high and contribute to her 15-point performance.
