DENTON – The 2023 Conference USA Women’s Tennis Championship opened its first round on Thursday with (8) UTSA winning the first match 4-1 against (9) UAB and (6) North Texas advancing with a 4-1 win over (11) UTEP. In the last match of the day, (7) Middle Tennessee held off (10) WKU 4-3. The quarterfinals begin Friday at 10 a.m. CT with (1) FIU and (8) UTSA and (3) Rice against (6) North Texas. (4) Louisiana Tech takes on (5) Florida Atlantic will start at 1 p.m. CT, while (2) Charlotte will also face (7) Middle Tennessee at that same time.
