TEXARKANA, Arkansas - Louisiana Tech's
James Swash captured the 2023 Conference USA individual championship with a three-round score of two-under-par on Wednesday at Texarkana Country Club. In addition to Swash's individual crown, the match play semifinal spots were clinched on the team side, as No. 1 seed Charlotte is set to battle No. 4 North Texas, while No. 2 Middle Tennessee takes on No. 3 Louisiana Tech on Thursday morning in the conference semifinal.

Charlotte finished stroke play at +8, just one stroke ahead of second place Middle Tennessee (+9), while the Bulldogs finished at +12 and Mean Green at +14, narrowly defeating UAB (+15) for the fourth and final match play spot.
Swash fired a tournament-best round of 68 on a wet, and grey Wednesday in Texarkana to claim the individual conference title. He was one of eight players to post scores under par in the third round. WKU's Connery Meyer also finished at -4 on the day with a 68 to finish inside the top-10, climbing 19 spots.
