DALLAS – Charlotte’s Cam Fisher and Florida Atlantic’s Nolan Schanuel were named to the 2023 Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Fisher, a 2022 Freshman All-American, has made a strong impact in the middle of the 49er batting order so far this season. The sophomore outfielder ranks third nationally with 15 home runs while owning the fifth best batting average in Conference USA (.386). Fisher also ranks second in the league in slugging percentage (.861), on-base percentage (.530), OPS (1.391) and runs scored (36).
 
Schanuel, the C-USA Preseason Player of the Year, continues to swing a hot bat as he leads C-USA in six different hitting categories. The junior from Boynton Beach boasts the seventh highest batting average in the country (.455), the second highest on-base percentage (.604) and the fourth best slugging percentage (.899) through the first 30 contests this year.
