BKB: CUSA Matchups Announced for 2023-24 Scheduling Initiative With WAC

DALLAS – Conference USA and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) have unveiled the team matchups for the first edition of a two-year scheduling initiative between the two leagues.
 
As part of this collaboration, a total of 36 games (18 in each gender) across both men’s and women's basketball will be contested in 2023-24 featuring CUSA members matching up against WAC counterparts.
 
Key matchups on the men’s basketball side include Sam Houston (#69 in the final 2022-23 NET) visiting the defending WAC champion Grand Canyon and hosting Utah Valley (#58). Liberty (#46) is set to host Grand Canyon and will travel to Utah Valley. Sam Houston and Liberty were each awarded at-large bids to the NIT last season.
 
Highlighting the women’s basketball matchups is reigning CUSA champion Middle Tennessee (#33) hosting 2022 WAC Champion and 2023 WNIT participant Stephen F. Austin (#68). Liberty will visit SFA, and defending WAC champion Southern Utah is slated to travel to UTEP and host WKU. Both the Miners and Hilltoppers earned at-large bids to the WNIT in 2023.
