How did becoming a college athlete impact your life?
Becoming a college athlete has shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve met my best friends through college athletics, and I’ve been so blessed with opportunities and experiences I would have otherwise not had. It’s also taught me to be extremely resilient, on and off the track.

What are you planning for your professional career after college?
After college, I want to work in social media marketing. I dream of opening my own bridal boutique business one day, though.

What was/is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was international marketing. I love learning about other cultures and customs, so being able to learn about how marketing differs between regions and countries was fascinating.

What’s the best advice you received from your coaches or teammates?
My event coach, Coach McClintock, tells me and my teammates before every hard practice and race, “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right,” and I think that is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

What piece of advice would you have for current student-athletes?
Enjoy it! I didn’t believe anyone when they said these few years would fly by, but they truly have gone by so fast. Soak up every moment, take everything one step at a time, and believe in yourself! You are capable of anything you put your mind to. And most importantly, have fun!!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am a photographer, so I love taking pictures and editing my sessions in my free time. I also love baking, so if I’m not at practice or not studying, I’m typically whipping up some sort of sweet treat in the kitchen.
