DALLAS – Conference USA placed nine student-athletes on the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, announced by the organization Tuesday.
The selections are highlighted by Liberty’s
Kyle Rode and
Emma Hess, who were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2024.
Rode was joined by teammates
Colin Porter and
Shiloh Robinson on the academic all-district list, adding to their list of academic achievements after Rode and Porter were selected to the CUSA Men’s Basketball All-Academic team earlier this month.
The FIU women and WKU women each placed two on the all-district squad, while LA Tech’s
Silvia Nativi rounds out the honorees.
It marks the second-straight year to earn the recognition for Rode, Robinson, Hess, FIU’s
Maria Torres, LA Tech’s
Silvia Nativi and WKU’s
Teresa Faustino.
