After dropping a tight battle on Thursday night, Pettersen and the Blue Raiders bounced back with a statement 4-0 triumph over UTEP. The senior forward accounted for three points with a goal and an assist in the win. She brings her goal total to eight on the season, which is good for second in CUSA. MTSU’s four goals on Sunday is the most scored this season.

Gipson was named CUSA Defensive Player of the Week after leading Sam Houston (8-4-2, 5-1-1 CUSA) to a pair of 1-0 shutout victories on the road. The junior defender anchored a defensive unit that limited FIU to just one shot on goal while also scoring the lone and game-winning goal. Gipson and the Bearkat back line followed with another strong performance on Sunday, holding Missouri State to a single shot on target in a second straight 1-0 win.
Goalkeeper of the Week – Katie Bahn, Sam Houston – Senior – Hendersonville, Tenn.
Bahn collected her first CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week award after recording back-to-back 1-0 shutouts over FIU and Missouri State.
