Blair Baugus earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Kaemyn Bekemeier, Mo State – Jr. – G – Republic, Mo.
Bekemeier averaged 21 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 opening week for Missouri State, securing wins over Saint Louis and UT Arlington. The junior guard shot .609 (14-23) from the field, .750 (3-4) from three and .786 (11-14) from the charity stripe. She scored a career-high 23 points in her first career start in the 70-66 win over Saint Louis. Bekemeier leads CUSA in points (42) and is tied for third in rebounds (18) in the first week of play.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Blair Baugus, MTSU – G – Waynesboro, Tenn.
Baugus helped guide MTSU to a 2-0 start against Tennessee State and Saint Louis. She’s the only Division I freshman to open the 2025-26 season with back-to-back double-doubles and the first MTSU freshman since Ebony Rowe (2010-11). Baugus made her collegiate debut and first career start in the Blue Raiders 59-55 win over Tennessee State, recording 10 points and 12 rebounds. She also tallied five blocks, four steals and two assists in the win. The Waynesboro, Tenn., native followed that performance up with 13 points and 11 rebounds on the road at Saint Louis on Thursday.
