MIAMI – WKU takes home the 2025 CUSA Championship title for the third consecutive year and for the 10th time in program history as the Hilltoppers defeated FIU in a five-set thriller (25-18, 20-25, 26-28, 25-23, 16-14) at Ocean Bank Convocation Center on the campus of FIU.
With the victory, the Hilltoppers clinched an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship.
CUSA Player and Setter of the Year
Callie Bauer was named Tournament MVP after guiding the Hilltopper offense to a team hitting percentage of .329. She dished out a career-high 67 assists and picked up nine digs. Sophomore outside hitter
Alivia Skidmore went off for a career-high 25 kills on a .400 hitting clip to earn a spot on the All-Tournament team. Sophomore middle blocker
Faith Young earned her first All-Tournament team honor after posting 19 kills. Sophomore libero
Tayler Baron was also named to the All-Tournament after tallying 11 services aces through three matches, tying a CUSA Championship record. Baron recorded 10 digs and four assists in the finale.
FIU’s
Savannah Cook was selected to the CUSA All-Tournament after recording 53 assists, eight digs and four blocks. Senior libero
Mandi Morioka tallied 40 digs over three matches enroute to earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Freshman outside hitter
Rebekah Pfefferkorn earned her first All-Tournament selection after posting 16 kills on a .324 clip for the Panthers in the championship match.
The 2025 NCAA Division 1 Selection Show is on Sunday, November 30, where WKU will learn who they will face in the first round as part of the 64-team field. Matches begin with the first round on Thursday, December 4 and continue through the national championship on Sunday, December 21.
