DALLAS – Following the 2025 football season, four Conference USA football stars garnered FBS All-America honors from the five major organizations (AFCA, AP, FWAA, TSN, Walter Camp), as announced by the outlets throughout the week.
The group is headlined by WKU punter
Cole Maynard, who earns Consensus All-America honors after being named to the First Team by the AFCA and AP, in addition to Second-Team honors from Walter Camp. He led the nation in punting average during the regular season at 48.7 yards per punt over 51 punting attempts. Over his 51 punts this season, Maynard had sent 25 50-plus yards – with a long of 71 yards – and had 12 downed inside the 20-yard line, with 15 fair catches and only five touchbacks.
Maynard becomes the first CUSA football player to be named Consensus All-America since Florida Atlantic tight end
Harrison Bryant in 2019, and Maynard is also just the seventh Consensus All-American in CUSA history, joining Tulane kicker
Cairo Santos (2012), UCF running back
Kevin Smith (2007), TCU kicker
Nick Browne (2003), Cincinnati kicker
Jonathan Ruffin (2000) and East Carolina punter
Andrew Bayes (1999).
Jax State running back
Cam Cook was named Second Team All-America by FWAA and The Sporting News and Third Team by AP, in addition to being crowned the CUSA MVP and Newcomer of the Year. The junior finished the year No. 2 in FBS in all purpose yardage (149.62) and rushing yards per game (127.6), and his 16 touchdowns tied for fourth in FBS. Cook rushed for at least 100 yards and a touchdown and had a reception in every Conference USA game this season. His 54 rushes of at least 10 yards are most among all FBS players.
LA Tech defensive back
Jakari Foster earned First-Team All-America recognition from AP and Second-Team laurels from Walter Camp following a dominant 2025 campaign that saw him intercept the most passes of any FBS player (7). He tallied six of his seven picks against CUSA foes, including two interceptions in an overtime win over Liberty. His second came on the Flames’ first possession of overtime. Foster also tallied 54 tackles and four pass breakups.
WKU’s
Laurence Seymore was tabbed Second-Team All-America by FWAA after he started all 12 games for WKU at left guard and logged the top PFF pass block grade among CUSA guards and the No. 7 grade in the nation (90.2), while not allowing a sack all season. The Hilltoppers finished with the No. 22 passing offense in FBS (272.6) and led CUSA in scoring offense (29.8) and tackles for loss allowed (4.83).
