DALLAS – Liberty’s Taelon Peter and Kennesaw State’s Adrian Wooley earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2024-25 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Taelon Peter, Liberty – R-Sr. – G – Russellville, Ark.
Peter was sensational en route to his first CUSA Player of the Week and helping Liberty (25-6, 13-5 CUSA) secure the outright regular season title. The redshirt senior guard averaged 27.0 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting a blistering 69.2 (18-26) percent from the field, 50 (7-14) percent from deep and a perfect 100 (11-11) percent from the foul line. He started out the weekend matching his season-high with a 33-point performance off the bench in a crucial road win at MTSU. In the season finale at WKU, Peter notched 21 points and nine boards while going 7-12 from the field and 4-8 from downtown. He finished the regular season as the Flames leading scorer (13.7) and averaged 21.8 points in nine CUSA road contests.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Adrian Wooley, Kennesaw State – Fr. – G – Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Wooley makes history with his 11^th Freshman of the Week honor of the season – the most by a student-athlete in league history – as the Owls (18-13, 10-8 CUSA) swept the season series over rival Jax State. The freshman sensation dropped 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a come-from-behind effort on the road. His double-digit scoring performance marked the 28^th time this season he has reached that feat. Wooley ended the regular season ranked third in CUSA during league play with 19.8 points per game. Kennesaw State secured the No. 4 seed with their win and will matchup with No. 5 NM State on Thursday in Huntsville, Ala.
