WBB: Bracket Announced for 2025 CUSA Basketball Championships

DALLAS – Liberty claimed a share of the CUSA regular season title and earned the No. 1 seed at the 2025 Conference USA Basketball Championships. The Lady Flames finished with a 23-6 overall record and a 16-2 conference mark. MTSU will be the No. 2 seed after earning its third consecutive CUSA regular season title with a league record of 16-2 and a 24-7 overall mark.
 
The event marks the second season at VBC Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala., and features all 10 teams. Championship week begins with two first-round games on Tuesday, March 11, at 11:30 a.m. CT between No. 8 Sam Houston (12-16, 5-13 CUSA) and No. 9 Jax State (10-19, 4-14 CUSA). No. 7 Kennesaw State (12-17, 7-11 CUSA) and No. 10 UTEP (11-18, 4-14 CUSA) will follow that contest at 2 p.m. CT.
 
Quarterfinal action will tip off Wednesday, March 12 at 11:30 a.m. CT as the Lady Flames will take on the winner of No. 8 Sam Houston and No. 9 Kennesaw State. The Lady Raiders will face off against the winner of No. 7 Kennesaw State and No. 10 UTEP at 2 p.m. CT to wrap up Wednesday’s action.
 
The remaining two quarterfinal games will be played on Thursday, March 13, as No. 4 NM State (17-14, 10-8 CUSA) will face No. 5 LA Tech (15-14, 8-10 CUSA) to begin the day at 11:30 a.m. CT. No. 3 WKU (22-8, 13-5 CUSA) will then match up with No. 6 FIU (11-18, 7-11 CUSA) in the last quarterfinal contest.
 
The two semifinal contests are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CT and 8 p.m. CT on Friday, March 14 with the championship final to tip off at 4:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 15.
 
Coverage for the first round through semifinal games will be available on ESPN+ with the Championship Final aired on CBS Sports Network on Saturday, March 15 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
