LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 1 seeded FIU earned its third consecutive Conference USA Women’s Tennis Championship title on Saturday. The nationally ranked No. 55 Panthers defeated No. 3-seeded Louisiana Tech in the championship match, 4-1. The Bulldogs grabbed an early edge with the doubles point, but the Panthers found their rhythm in singles play en route to their third conference championship victory.
The NCAA Women’s Tennis Selection Show is set for Monday, April 28 and the NCAA Championships will take place May 15-18 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, hosted by Baylor.
