GOLF: February 11 Golfers of the Week

DALLAS – FIU’s Amandine Seguin and Delaware’s Arsit Areephun have been named this week’s Conference USA’s Golfers of the Week.
 
Energy Transfer CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Amandine Seguin, FIU – So. – Menton, France
Seguin took 16th place at Florida Atlantic’s Paradise Invitational against a field that included No. 24 Tennessee, No. 25 Oklahoma and No. 30 Kentucky. Seguin shot even for the three-day tournament, ending with scores of 75-70-71 (216), with her last two rounds shooting below par. Overall, the France native ended the tournament with 13 birdies, which tied for second amongst all golfers and one eagle.
 
CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week — Arsit Areephun, Delaware — Jr. — Chiang Rai, Thailand
Areephun tied his season-low for a 54-hole score with a 7-under par 209 at the spring-opening Palmas del Mar Collegiate, hosted by UNCG in Puerto Rico. After a tournament-opening 75 had him in a tie for 38th place, the junior carded a 10-under par over the final two rounds to climb into a tie for third overall. He birdied 12 of his final 36 holes and finished with 14 total birdies over 54 holes. Areephun’s score of 134 over the final two rounds is tied for the fifth-best 36-hole score in program history.
