Making her first appearance in the No. 1 singles position this season, O’Neill Garcia led Liberty to a 2-0 weekend with two wins over George Washington (7-0) and Navy (5-2). She topped George Washington's Solange Skeene 6-1, 6-3 and bested Navy's Olivia Fermo 6-1, 7-5. Women's Doubles Team of the Week – LA Tech
Zoie Epps – Jr. – Norman, Okla.
Isabella Walker – Fr. – Birmingham, England
Epps and Walker returned to the court following a three-week hiatus due to postponed matches as a result of the weather. LA Tech took on Bellarmine in a neutral site match followed by a true road test at Mississippi State. After an unfinished doubles match against the Knights with the Bulldogs clinching the opening point, the duo had the tall task of facing State's No. 1 tandem of Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye who were ranked 9th in the country as a duo. With Epps and Walker down 2-4 in the match, they reeled off three straight games to take a 5-4 lead. Epps then served out the match, ripping a backhand down the line at 40-30 to win 6-4 and claim the highest ranked victory in program history.

Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week – Rodrigo Santiago Arraez, Liberty - Jr. – Toledo, Spain
Santiago Arraez earned a perfect 2-0 week at No. 1 singles leading Liberty (4-3) to a pair of 6-1 victories over Longwood and Penn State. In Friday’s win over Longwood, the junior from Spain came back to defeat Daniel Borisov 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. He followed that performance with a sweep of Penn State’s Michael Wright 6-2, 6-4. The win over Penn State ended its perfect season (7-1) and gave Liberty its third straight win.

Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week MTSU
Birtan Duran – Jr. – Istanbul, Turkey
Antoine Mayoral – Fr. – Ménilles, France
The duo of Duran and Mayoral picked up a crucial win for the Blue Raiders on No. 3 doubles at Virginia Tech on Thursday. The pair defeated Drew Fishback and Frank Thompson with a score of 7-6 (7-3). The match experienced multiple ties and lead changes until MTSU established a 5-4 advantage.
