DALLAS – Missouri State’s Kaemyn Bekemeier and Liberty’s Ify Nwaobi earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Kaemyn Bekemeier, Mo State – Jr. – G – Republic, Mo.
Bekemeier earns her fourth CUSA Player of the Week honor of the season after averaging 23.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game across a 2-0 week for the Bears. She shot 52.2% (12-23) from the field, 61.5% (8-13) from three and .875 (14-16) from the free throw line. The junior guard led the league on the week in points per game and ranked tied for 7th in rebounds per game. Bekemeier posted a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds in the win over Middle Tennessee. She scored a game-high 21 points in a 75-52 win over WKU, while adding seven rebounds, an assist and a steal. Bekemeier now owns 11 20-point games on the season and 21 double-figure scoring performances.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Ify Nwaobi, Liberty – F – Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Nwaobi helped Liberty go 1-1 on its road trip, averaging 12.0 points, a team-high 13.0 rebounds and a team-high 3.0 blocks per game. She posted seven points, a game-high 15 rebounds and a game-high three blocks during a 60-55 win at Jax State on Thursday. On Saturday at Kennesaw State, Nwaobi recorded a career-high 17 points, a game-high 11 rebounds and a game-high three blocks. She tallied 12 second-half points, helping Liberty rally from a 12-point deficit. She played a career-high 34 minutes against the Owls with her team short-handed due to injury.
