DALLAS – UTEP’s Krista Paegle and Averie Threet were named the Conference USA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Paegle and Threet delivered a flawless performance at the Arizona Invitational, going a perfect 4-0 on Court 3 at Bear Down Beach that included a top-20 win and two CUSA wins. The duo opened the weekend with a straight-set victory over San Francisco on Friday, then followed with an impressive straight-set win to secure UTEP’s lone point against nationally ranked No. 19 Arizona later that day. Paegle and Threet carried their momentum into Saturday, earning another straight-set win over Missouri State in the morning before closing out the invitational with a dominant straight-set victory against Tarleton State in the afternoon. The pair was untouchable throughout the weekend, sweeping all four opponents without dropping a single set.
