WGOLF: WKU, Two Individuals Head to NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS - Conference USA women's golf champion WKU earned the 11th seed in the Louisville Regional, while two CUSA individual student-athletes have qualified to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals, as announced by the Division I Women's Golf Committee on Wednesday.

The Lady Toppers won the Conference USA crown for the second consecutive year, at the Stonebriar Country Club Fazio Golf Course in Frisco, Texas, back on April 22, to earn the league's automatic bid. WKU will take on a talented field at University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky.

Middle Tennessee’s Isabella Johnson is also headed to the Louisville Regional, while NM State’s Emma Bunch will play in the Stanford Regional.

Regional play will take place May 11-13 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.  

Louisville Regional Site
The Louisville Regional will be played at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky and will be hosted by Louisville.
