KENNESAW, Ga. – No. 4 DBU defeated No. 7 Kennesaw State 6-0 on day one of the 2026 CUSA Baseball Championship on Wednesday evening from Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field on the campus of Kennesaw State. The Patriots will battle it out with No. 3 Missouri State on Friday at 5 p.m. ET, while the Owls will take on the Bears on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET to round out pool C play.

Patriots’ left-hander Liam Watt was stellar on the mound, tossing 8.0 scoreless frames, allowing just two hits and striking out six. Athan Kroll slammed the door in the final inning to earn his 10^th save of the season.
 
Mac Rose and Ben Tryon both paced the offense finishing with one home run and two RBI a piece. In the bottom of the eighth, Brooks Sartain launched DBU’s final homerun of the night to right center.
