KENNESAW, Ga. – No. 2 Liberty defeated and eliminated No. 3 Missouri State 7-5 on Sunday morning of the 2026 CUSA Baseball Championship from Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field on the campus of Kennesaw State. The Flames advance to their first-ever CUSA title game and will take on No. 1 Jax State at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday on CBS Sports Network.
 
After Missouri State scored two runs at the top of the first, Liberty answered back with three runs of its own. Jaxon Sorenson RBI single and Easton Swofford RBI double put the Flames up 3-2 to start the second inning. In the fourth inning, Josh Campos RBI triple to right field and a Tanner Marsh single gave Liberty the lead at 6-4. Nick Barone gave the Flames insurance with an RBI single to right field for a 7-5 lead.
 
Liberty’s Bradley Zayac got the nod on Sunday and tossed 5.0 innings, earning his ninth win of the 2026 campaign. The right-hander struck out five and allowed three earned runs. Tyler August came in relief, throwing 3.0 solid innings with six strikeouts and one earned run. Cooper Harrington hurled the final inning, allowing no runs and no hits, while grabbing his 13th save.
