DALLAS – Conference USA named 22 student-athletes to its 2026 Men’s and Women’s Track & Field All-Academic Teams on Friday. Eleven out of 12 teams saw athletes earn scholastic recognition.
Kennesaw State and Liberty led the conference with four honorees each across both teams, all athletes boasting a 3.7 GPA or higher.
Kellen Kimes, a junior from Liberty, earned his second consecutive All-Academic honor, boasting a 4.00 GPA in biomedical studies. Kennesaw State’s
Harrison Pawsat owns a perfect 4.00 while pursuing a master’s degree in cyber security.
MTSU, NM State, Sam Houston, UTEP and WKU each had two athletes earn academic honors. MTSU’s
Joel Iheakolam collects the award for the second consecutive year, maintaining a 3.81 GPA majoring in public health. NM State’s
Marlee Cavitt and
Alesha Lane both boast a 3.72 GPA while studying Kinesiology. Sam Houston’s
Chrisitan Rohlack has a 3.88, studying Kinesiology, while UTEP’s
Andres Gurrola boasts a perfect 4.00 for the Miners, majoring in Psychology. WKU’s
Kinley Kunkel has a 3.76 GPA as a junior majoring in biology.
Additionally, Delaware, FIU, Jax State and LA Tech boast one athlete apiece on the Men’s and Women’s All-Academic Team.
