BRASELTON, Ga. - Lady Tiger signee Natalie Turk (Franklin, Tenn.) was named a recipient of the 2011 Presidents' Leadership Award, the United States Golf Association and American Junior Golf Association announced Wednesday.
The award honors two junior golfers--one male and one female--who demonstrate leadership, character and community service through their involvement with the Leadership Link program. Founded in 2005 by the USGA and AJGA, Leadership Links fosters development in junior golfers through volunteerism.
"This award is a testament to the type of person Natalie is," Memphis head coach Beth Harrelson said. "We're excited about her as a golfer, but even more so as a person. She's a high character person and her leadership skills will have an immediate impact."
