WGOLF: Jax State Maintains Lead Heading into Final Round of CUSA Championship

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Day two of the 2025 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship saw frontrunner Jax State separate itself at the at the World Golf Village Slammer and Squire Golf Course. The Gamecocks are +1 for the tournament after firing a 2-over 290, the round’s best team score, while WKU moved up two spots to claim second place after a four-over 292 on Tuesday.

Jax State’s Lara El Chaib and NM State’s Emma Bunch are still tied individually for first place, after shooting 2-under 70 in the second round. Bunch, who was the individual champion at last year’s championship, looks to claim the individual crown for the second consecutive year. She would become the first CUSA player since 2015-16 (Meghan MacLaren, FIU) to win two straight.

WKU’s Catie Craig and Sydney Hackett are tied for third at one-under-par 143. MTSU’s Abbie Lee is also tied for third after climbing up 16 places with an impressive second round score of 3-under-par 69.

Wednesday’s third and final round is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. ET. Coverage of the 2025 CUSA Women’s Golf Championship will be available on ESPN+, beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
