DALLAS – The 2023 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for Saturday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, Feb. 19, hosted by UAB at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama. This year marks the 12th consecutive year that UAB is hosting the meet. The event will be live streamed on CUSA TV for free all weekend. C-USA Indoor Track & Field Record Book
The action begins on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT with combined events, starting with the heptathlon. The pentathlon follows at 9:15 a.m. CT. Starting at 1 p.m. CT the first set of field events will begin, commencing with men’s pole vault. Running prelims begin at 3 p.m. CT with the mile. The finals of the 5000m and DMR kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and 7:20 p.m. CT, respectively.
The remaining heptathlon events begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CT. The second round of field events starts at 10 a.m. with men’s shot put and triple jump and the women’s high jump. At 12 p.m. CT, the remainder of the running finals begin. The awards presentation is scheduled for 3:40 p.m. CT following the conclusion of all running finals.
Last season, Charlotte won the C-USA men’s team title for the third-straight year after compiling 155.5 points to hold off second-place Middle Tennessee (94 points).
In the women’s team competition, Southern Miss earned the C-USA title for the second-straight year with a 101-point total to finish ahead of Middle Tennessee (91 points).
