DALLAS – The field is set for the 2024 Conference USA Baseball Championship. Louisiana Tech will be the top seed as the host for the Championship, ending the regular season with a 41-15 overall record and an 18-6 mark in CUSA action.
The Championship features the top eight teams in the regular season league play. The format is two double elimination brackets, with four teams each, with the winners of each bracket meeting in a single
elimination championship contest.
The tournament is set to begin at 9 a.m. CT on Wednesday, May 24, as No. 3 seed WKU takes on No. 6 seed FIU. The Panthers took two of three from the Hilltoppers in Bowling Green back in March.
Wednesday’s second matchup features No. 2 seed DBU and No. 7 seed NM State at 12:30 p.m. CT. The Patriots swept the Aggies in Dallas at the end of March.
The top seed of the tournament, LA Tech, will take on No. 8-seeded MTSU at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday. The Bulldogs took two of three from the Blue Raiders in Ruston this season.
Day one of the action will conclude with No. 4 seed Sam Houston and No. 5 seed Liberty. The Bearkats were swept by the Flames early in conference play out in Lynchburg.
The 2024 CUSA Championship will be played at a member home site for the fourth consecutive season, and the 20
th time in league history. The Championship Game on Sunday, May 26, at 1 p.m. CT, will be nationally televised by
CBS Sports Network, while all other games will be aired on
ESPN+.
