BOWL: November Performers of the Month Team

DALLAS – Conference USA has named the November Performers of the Month Team, including Annalise OBryant (Jacksonville State) as Bowler of the Month, Kaitlyn Stull (Jacksonville State) as Freshman of the Month, Gianna Brandolino (Jacksonville State), Maggie Thoma (Arkansas State), Aleesha Oden (Wichita State) and Karina Capron (Nebraska).
 
CUSA November Performers of the Month Team
Bowler of the Month – Annalise OBryant, Jax State – Jr. – Ball Ground, Ga.
OBryant has been named Bowler of the Month after finishing second in the field in traditional pinfall at 1,165. In Baker play, she posted a 225.9 average. The Ball Ground, Ga. native posted a 233 average in traditional play and didn’t have a game below 218. She currently leads the country in traditional average at 225.27.
 
Freshman of the Month – Kaitlyn Stull, Jax State – Fr. – Raleigh, N.C.
Stull claims the Freshman of the Month honor after posting a 217.3 traditional average and a 228 Baker average during the tournament. In traditional play, the Raleigh, N.C. native was 10-of-12 on makeable spares and a perfect 8-of-8 in single-pin spare attempts. She posted 62 strikes in 99 frames during the weekend.
 
Gianna Brandolino, Jax State – Fr. – Channahon, Ill.
Brandolino had a 213.4 traditional average and a 229.3 Baker average. Her 74 total strikes during the tournament tied Obryant for the most on the team. The Channahon, Ill. native was 80% on her makable spares in traditional play and 88.2% on makeable spares in Baker play. This is her second time making the CUSA Performers of the Month Team this season.
 
Maggie Thoma, Arkansas State – Sr. – New Braunfels, Texas
Thoma downed 2,149 pins over 10 traditional games in November for an average of 214.9. She totaled 1,084 (216.8) pins at Bulldog Classic to rank 10th individually while rolling 1,065 (213.0) pins at Colonial Lanes Classic to rank 11th individually. A-State finished runner-up at the Bulldog Classic and won the Colonial Lanes Classic.
 
Aleesha Oden, Wichita State – Jr. – Council Bluffs, Iowa
Oden earned her second Performer of the Month Team recognition as Wichita State's top bowler over three November competitions. After helping the Shockers to a team win at the Track Kat Klash, Oden posted a 201.3 average at Louisiana Tech's Bulldog Classic, including a 235 as part of Wichita State's team 1,137 game against Alabama State. The lefty delivered her best outing of the month at the Colonial Lanes Classic, earning an All-Tournament Team spot with a 222.40 average. She powered Wichita State to a win over Sam Houston State with a 246, her top score in the month of November.
 
Karina Capron, Nebraska – So. – Fremont, Neb.
Capron was a consistent contributor for the Huskers in two November events, recording a pinfall of 1,826 over nine games of traditional matches (202.88 average). Capron recorded her second top-20 individual finish of the year at the Colonial Classic, posting a 205.6 average over five traditional matches, including a high game of 241.  Her efforts helped the Huskers to a fourth-place showing at the event. Capron also played in four matches at the Bulldog Classic, averaging 199.5 in traditional play, including a season-high score of 246 against Sacred Heart.
