DALLAS – The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) tabbed 24 CUSA student-athletes and one coach with 2024-25 NTCA Postseason Honors announced the eve of the National Championship.
Conference USA took six out of eight total selections on first team in CUSA Bowler of the Year,
Annalise OBryant and Freshman of the Year,
Erin Klemencic from Jax State. CUSA All-Tournament Team honoree, Wichita State’s
Sara Duque Jimenez also earned first team honors, along with Youngstown State’s
Jade Cote and
Madyson Marx and Arkansas State’s
Maggie Thoma.
CUSA Newcomer of the Year, A-State’s
Kaylee Back received second-team honors, along with her teammate
Karli VanDuinen. Jacksonville State’s
Dannielle Henderson and
Anna Warkel, Vanderbilt’s
Isabel Allen and Wichita State’s
Ashtyn Woods completed the second team honorees for the conference.
Four Conference USA student-athletes claimed a spot on third team in SFA’s
Brystal Beyer, Sam Houston’s
Denise Blankenzee, Wichita State’s
Mary Orf and Vanderbilt’s
Victoria Varano. Three CUSA bowlers earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in YSU’s
Madison Doseck, Sam Houston’s
Katie Paris and Wichita State’s
Paige Wagner.
Vandy’s
Sydney Bohn and Jax State’s Klemencic claimed First-Team All-Rookie honors. Earning Second-Team All-Rookie honors were Sam Houston’s
Breana Chewens, A-State’s
Amanda Lang and Jax State’s
Melia Mitskavich.
Conference USA Freshman of the Year, Klemencic also received the Division I Rookie of the Year Award.
Additionally, YSU’s
Kirsten Moore received the Elite 90 Award, which is proudly awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site.
Leading her team to the Conference USA championship in their first NCAA season, Wichita State’s
Holly Harris was named the Bill Straub Coach of the Year.
