MGOLF: Kennesaw State’s Borregaard Advances to NCAA Championship Round

AUBURN, Ala. – Kennesaw State’s Claes Borregaard punched his ticket to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship Round after competing in the Auburn Regional on Wednesday.
 
The CUSA Player of the Year tied for second place after carding an even-par round of 72 to finish at 8-under par 208 during the 54-hole event. In the final round, Borregaard tallied two birdies and 14 pars during his round. The Snorum, Denmark native led the field in Par 4 scoring average at 3.73, ranked second in birdies with 14 and made program history as the first Owl to qualify for the NCAA Championships as an individual.
 
The NCAA Men’s Golf Championship is scheduled for May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa’s Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
