Blair Baugus earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Avery Mills, Liberty – So. – G – Lynchburg, Va.
Mills led the way during a 2-0 trip to New Mexico State and UTEP, pacing the Lady Flames in points (23.5 ppg), blocked shots (1.0 bpg), field goal percentage (66.7), three-pointers (11) and three-point field goal percentage (68.8) for the week. She scored a career-high 25 points at New Mexico State on Friday, 21 of which came during the second half. At UTEP on Sunday, the sophomore guard led all players with 22 points, knocking down a career-high six three-pointers, while also chipping in five boards, three assists, two blocks and a steal.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Blair Baugus, MTSU – G – Waynesboro, Tenn.
Baugus guided the Blue Raiders to a 2-0 week to open Conference USA play on the road, with a 60-47 win at Kennesaw State and a 69-52 win at Jax State. The Waynesboro, Tenn. native averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds and three steals over the two-game stretch. She was the only CUSA player this week to record back-to-back double-doubles. Baugus posted a career-high 25 points, along with 10 rebounds and three steals against Kennesaw State on Friday. She followed that performance up with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals on Sunday against Jax State.
