CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Rhianna Gooneratne, Delaware – So. – Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
Gooneratne won her second-straight individual title, winning the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational by two strokes. The sophomore carded a 54-hole score of 2-under par 211 to lead the Fightin' Blue Hens to a runner-up finish as Delaware finished second in the 14-team field. Gooneratne opened with a 1-under par 70 and carded an even-par 71 to sit in second place after 36 holes. She jumped to first with another 1-under par 70 on Tuesday. Gooneratne’s three-round score of 211 is tied for the sixth-best 54 hole score in program history. She becomes the first Blue Hen to win individual titles in back-to-back tournaments. Gooneratne is the third Blue Hen to win two tournaments in the same season, joining Alisa Khokhlova (2024-25) and Andi Slane (2015-16).

CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week - Max Chan, NM State - Jr. - Dallas, Texas
Chan competed at the NB3 Matchplay where he went 3-0 in match play to help lead the Aggies to the program's second title in three years at the NB3 Matchplay event. The junior opened with a 1UP win over New Mexico's Johnnie Clark who entered the week as one of the nation's hottest golfers after he earned at least a share of the individual title at all three of UNM's first tournaments this season. This helped the Aggies earn a 3.5-1.5 win over their rival. Chan then earned a critical 2UP win over Houston's Sacha Ruiz, winning the final two holes to secure the victory. He closed out the event with a 2UP win over NC State's Xander Goboy, winning two of the final three holes to lift the Aggies to a 4.0-1.0 win over NC State, allowing them to secure the team title.
