DALLAS – Sam Houston’s Isabelle Hurrion and Liberty’s Austin Krahn have been named Conference USA’s Golfers of the Week the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
CUSA Women’s Golfer of the Week – Isabelle Hurrion, Sam Houston – So. – Sutton Coldfield, England
Hurrion won her first collegiate individual title at the Red Raider Invitational, shooting 69-71-70 for a 6-under 210 at The Rawls Course. She finished four strokes ahead of runner-up Kate Walker of BYU in the 68-player field. Hurrion was one of only two players under par for the tournament and the only player to break par in all three rounds. The sophomore made 10 birdies, including four in both the opening and final rounds, and helped Sam Houston finish fifth in the 12-team field. Hurrion became the first Bearkat women’s golfer to win an individual tournament since Grace Jin won both the Badger Invitational and Bearkat Invitational in September 2024.
 
CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week - Austin Krahn, Liberty - Fr. - Christina Lake, British Columbia
Krahn claimed medalist honors at the Bryan Bros Collegiate with a winning score of 9-under par 204 (65-70-69). He closed the event with three birdies during his final 10 holes to finish ahead of Ole Miss’ Collins Trolio and Arkansas’ Erich Fortlage, who carded scores of 8-under par 205. The freshman’s victory allowed the Flames to finish the event in third place, marking the team’s second top 3 finish of the fall 2026 season. Krahn opened the tournament with a season-low 6-under par 65, posting a clean card during the first round with six birdies and 12 pars. His 6-under par 65 in the first round and 2-under par 69 in the third round marked the first two sub-70 rounds of the young freshman’s collegiate career. He did most of his scoring on the par-5 holes at the South Carolina tournament, ranking fifth in the field in par-5 scoring (8-under/4.33 scoring average). Krahn also ranked fourth in the field in par-4 scoring (1-under/3.96 scoring average) and eighth in the 91-man field with 13 birdies. This win marked the 39th individual collegiate medalist honor in Liberty’s NCAA Division I program history. Liberty has now recorded back-to-back medalist honors, as junior Michael Lugiano finished tied for first as the Flames’ last outing at the Bearcat Invitational.
