DALLAS – Following standout performances over the weekend, DBU senior Jake Bennett and Louisiana Tech right-hander Declan Dahl earned CUSA weekly honors.
 
CUSA Hitter of the Week – Jake Bennett, DBU – Sr. – C/OF – Louisville, Ky.
Bennett secures CUSA Hitter of the Week after leading the explosive DBU offense in a series win over NM State. The senior hit an astounding .588 (10-17) over the 2-2 week with four home runs, a double, 11 runs scored, 13 RBI and a 1.353 slugging percentage. On Friday and Saturday, Bennett recorded eight RBI and five RBI, respectively, with back-to-back two-homer days. He recorded three or more hits in three of the four games over week.  
 
CUSA Pitcher of the Week – Declan Dahl, LA Tech – Jr. – RHP – Azle, Texas.
Dahl was named CUSA Pitcher of the Week after hurling a season-high 7.0 shutout frames to fuel a 5-0 LA Tech win over Delaware on opening night of league play. The junior right-hander scattered two hits and two walks, while punching out eight batters for the second-most he’s recorded in a game since arriving at LA Tech. Dahl improved to 3-2 on the season and his 31 strikeouts leads the Bulldog pitching staff and ties for third in CUSA.
